Welcome

Welcome to St Barnabas Church of England School where our experienced staff team and Academy Governance Committee are committed to doing the best for every child in their care.

We are proud of our close links with St Barnabas Church and also to be part of Peterborough Diocese Education Trust which we joined in October 2014 as a sponsored academy. We also work very closley with Freeman's Endowed Church of England Junior Academy which is where almost all of our children go for the next stage of their education.

St Barnabas prides itself on nurturing the whole child so good academic progress goes hand in hand with an emphasis on developing well-being, independence and self esteem. We are a growth mindset school and the children will tell you that mistakes make their brains grow and that there is no such thing as 'can't'.

There is a wealth of information on our website but it cannot do justice to our friendly and welcoming school filled with happy children who love to talk about their learning. Please contact us to arrange a visit; you won't be disappointed.

HM Queen Elizabeth II
13/09/2022 1:42 PM

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of HM The Queen.  She inspired millions, and it would not be an exaggeration to say that she was a beloved public servant.  It has been comforting to read stories of people sharing their memories of her warmth, humility and dedication.  Above all, Queen Elizabeth was a person of faith and of prayer who lived out her life with a heart of service.

At this most personal of times our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

When peace comes remember it will be for us, the children of today, to make the world of tomorrow a better and happier place.

Queen Elizabeth
